Responsibilities- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand production and tooling processes, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Lead projects to enhance current build processes by utilizing tool design and fabrication resources, applying design expertise using CATIA-V5 to design/modify production or support fixtures.
- Develop activity-based plans, project schedules, and executive summaries to ensure timely completion and effective communication with stakeholders.
- Determine specifications and scope of projects, focusing on safety, ergonomics, lean manufacturing, shipping, and handling improvements.
- Present project progress and conclusions to team members and leadership, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Participate in multiple manufacturing plant tours to gain insights into our operations and industry best practices.
- Attend professional development workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge in aerospace engineering and manufacturing.
- Present your project at the Project Expo, an opportunity to showcase your work to executive leaders and receive feedback.
- Engage in social and networking events to build relationships with colleagues and industry professionals.
- Be a US Person (US Citizen or US Permanent Resident).
- Be enrolled full-time in a university degree program aligned with the area of internship.
- Be a current sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in good academic standing.
