About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Healthcare Professional to join our team at Children's Hospital & Medical Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our young patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist physicians and pediatric nurse practitioners in delivering patient care, including vital sign collection, medication administration, and diagnostic testing.
  • Coordinate scheduling of diagnostic tests and procedures with patients, families, physicians, and insurance companies.
  • Provide patient education and support, including teaching patients and families about age-specific or developmental milestones.
  • Complete accurate and timely patient care documentation and reporting in the electronic medical record.
  • Respond appropriately in crisis situations or life-threatening emergencies.
Requirements
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant Program or current and valid national certification as a Medical Assistant (NCMA) required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association required.
  • Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)-AAMA preferred.
  • Current and valid Medication Aide Registration with the Nebraska State Medication Aide Registry required upon hire.
