Job Summary

AdeIphi MedicaI Staffing is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team on a per diem basis. As an LPN, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing care to patients, including medication administration, wound care, and vital signs monitoring.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams, medical histories, and medication reviews.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately and efficiently.
  • Evaluate and manage wounds, incisions, and injuries, monitoring for infection or complications.
  • Monitor and document patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, recording changes in their condition and administered treatments.
  • Educate patients and their families on their medical conditions, prescribed medications, and self-care practices.
  • Administer and monitor intravenous (IV) medications and fluids, ensuring proper insertion and functioning of IV lines.
  • Provide care for patients with urinary catheters, including insertion, routine maintenance, and monitoring for complications.
  • Collect patient samples, such as blood, urine, and sputum, for laboratory testing and analysis.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Address patient comfort and safety requirements, including positioning, mobility assistance, and pain management.
  • Respond to medical emergencies, adhering to established protocols and delivering basic life support as necessary.
  • Adhere to infection control procedures, including proper hand hygiene and utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies.
  • Foster health and wellness by promoting preventive care measures, such as vaccinations and screenings.
  • Advocate for patients' rights and needs within the healthcare system.
  • Stay current on nursing best practices, regulations, and advancements through ongoing education and training.
Requirements
  • Valid and active Licensed Practical Nurse State license.
  • BLS certification.
