JOB DESCRIPTION

Shift: 4 x 10-hour shifts. 06:45-17:15 (Wednesday 06:30-17:00) Weekends: none Holidays: none On-Call: Willing to take call once acclimated to unit. Call includes midnight, weekend, and held-over call.

Role of the Certified Surgical Technologist:
  • Essential member of surgical teams, requiring strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Collaborate with specialty surgeons, physician assistants, and advanced practice registered nurses to ensure high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
  • Sterilize instruments and maintain necessary supplies.
  • Assist in preparing patients for surgery.
  • Provide instruments to surgeons during operations.
  • Manage inventory of supplies and maintain accurate records of procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 1 year of endovascular experience.
  • General surgical experience is also required.
  • 7-10 years of experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
Requirements:
  • Completion of COVID vaccination series, including booster.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Commitment to ongoing clinical education and skill enhancement.
  • Strong dedication to patient care and service excellence.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication, organizational skills, and adaptability to manage multiple tasks.
