Job Summary

As a Paramedic PRN with Norman Regional Health System, you will play a vital role in providing emergency medical care to patients in need. Your expertise will be essential in responding to emergency situations, stabilizing patients, and transporting them to medical facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Perform emergency medical procedures using established protocols and independent judgment.
  • Provide routine and emergency medical care, extrication, and transportation of ill and injured persons.
  • Respond to emergency and routine requests for transportation to and from medical facilities.
  • Assess patients and determine the nature and acuity of their illness or injury, administering appropriate medical treatment as needed.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate or Associate Degree in Emergency Medical Technology.
  • Completion of the requirements for licensure (DOT curriculum paramedic program) recognized by the Oklahoma State Department of Health.
  • At least 1 year of experience in emergency medical services, although no experience is required.

You must also possess:

  • A current Oklahoma Paramedic License.
  • A valid Oklahoma driver's license.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications, which must be obtained within 30 days of hire and maintained throughout employment.
Schedule and Work Environment

This is a PRN position, which means you will work on an as-needed basis. Your schedule will vary, and you will be required to work in a fast-paced emergency medical services environment.
