Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare Tax Returns: Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and corporations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax jurisdictions.
  • Financial Statement Adjustments: Prepare tax adjustments to financial statements to prepare returns, ensuring alignment with tax laws and regulations.
  • Research and Stay Up-to-Date: Research and stay up to date on tax issues and legislation, providing expert advice to clients and the tax team.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with state, federal, and international tax jurisdictions, identifying and mitigating potential risks.
  • Tax Planning and Research: Participate in tax planning and research, providing innovative solutions to clients and the tax team.
  • Client Relationships: Initiate and develop relationships with clients, management teams, and senior leadership, ensuring effective communication and client satisfaction.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain active communication with senior leadership to manage expectations, ensure client satisfaction, and meet deadlines.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Taxation; Master's degree in taxation is a plus.
  • Academic Performance: 3.3 GPA or higher.
  • Professional Certifications: CPA License or eligibility to take the CPA exam preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Experience using tax preparation software and applications.
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Excellent analytical and technical skills, with the ability to convey complex analysis and findings to management and external clients.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work in a cross-functional, entrepreneurial atmosphere, achieving measurable results and improving existing processes.
  • Project Management: Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Client Focus: Motivated to meet client deadlines and provide superior client service.
  • Relationship Building: A team player with strong relationship skills.
