Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Hospice Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for representing the volunteers and advocating for volunteer services, identifying needs for volunteers, recruiting volunteers, and assigning volunteers with patients/families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the volunteers and advocate for volunteer services
  • Identify needs for volunteers and develop strategies to meet those needs
  • Recruit and train volunteers to work with patients and families
  • Assign volunteers to work with patients and families
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer services

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field or four years of related experience
  • Healthcare or hospice administration experience preferred
  • Previous volunteer experience preferred
  • Ability to operate computer, facsimile equipment, copier, and cell phone
  • CPR Certification
  • Current automobile insurance and valid driver's license
