Acute Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Acute Teacher to join our team at Cedar Springs Hospital. As a member of our educational services team, you will provide academic support to children and adolescents on our Child/Adolescent acute unit, as well as in our Southgate School.

• Develop and implement individualized educational plans for students
• Provide academic instruction and support to students in a variety of settings
• Coordinate vocational programs for students 14 years and older
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care for students
• Maintain accurate records and reports

• Master's degree in Special Education or related field
• Colorado Department of Education Teaching Certificate or eligible for emergency licensure
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Excellent organizational, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and establish effective working relationships

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent standing, walking, and kneeling. The ability to perform CPR and first aid is also required. A valid driver's license may be necessary, depending on the location of the position.
