Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse provides professional, comprehensive nursing care for patients in an acute care environment. This includes assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care, as well as administering medications and protocols as prescribed.
Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
- Administer medications and protocols as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and promote a culture of safety and quality.
- Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with evidence-based practices and industry standards.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting autonomy and empowerment.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York.
- At least one year of experience in a critical care setting, or completion of the Newly Licensed Registered Nurse Residency (NLRN) Program.
- BSN in Nursing preferred, with plans to obtain a Bachelor's degree in nursing within a specified timeframe.
- Specialty certification preferred, with BLS certification required.
Guthrie Corning Hospital offers a competitive salary range of $51.53 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package, including medical and dental insurance, generous PTO accrual, and relocation assistance.
