About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer III, Mobile to join our team at YouTube. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable software solutions that meet the needs of our users.

Responsibilities
  • Write high-quality, maintainable code for our mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Contribute to the development of technical documentation and educational content.
  • Triage and debug issues, analyzing sources and impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 2+ years of experience with data structures or algorithms in an academic or industry setting.
  • 2+ years of experience with Android application development.
Preferred Qualifications

We're looking for candidates with:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 2+ years of experience with performance, large-scale systems data analysis, visualization tools, and/or debugging.
  • Experience developing accessible technologies.
  • Proficiency in code and system health, diagnosis, and resolution, and software test engineering.
