Mentorship Specialist

Salary: $14.50/hour

Axess Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mentorship Specialist to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and supporting meaningful matches between volunteers and children in our community-based programs.

1. Coordinate with local schools to implement school-based mentoring programs, fostering positive relationships and outcomes for youth.
2. Create and support matches between volunteers and children, promoting healthy development and growth.
3. Plan and facilitate engaging activities that encourage socialization, learning, and fun.
4. Provide regular supervision, follow-up, and support to ensure the well-being and success of all matches.
5. Maintain accurate and timely case notes on each contact with volunteers, youth, family, and other significant individuals.
6. Conduct thorough volunteer reference checks and client reassessments as requested by the Program Manager.

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Some experience in social services or a related field is preferred.
• Valid Ohio Driver's License and ability to meet agency requirements for driving insurability.
• Ability to pass a background check through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification & Investigation.
