About the Role:

As a Pharmacy Technician at Walgreens, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to assist pharmacists in the dispensing of medications, maintaining accurate patient records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including counting, measuring, and labeling.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication histories and allergy lists.
  • Process prescriptions, handle third-party claims, and perform other clerical duties as assigned.
  • Assist with inventory management, receiving and storing shipments of pharmaceuticals, and maintaining a clean and organized pharmacy environment.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses, to support patient care and education.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with the latest pharmacy practices and technologies.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; PTCB certification preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Availability to work flexible schedules, including evenings and weekends, as needed.
