About the Position
In this role, you will have the opportunity to evaluate and treat patients, develop treatment plans, and provide excellent patient outcomes. Your expertise will be utilized to conduct procedures, assist surgeons, and collaborate with attending physicians on daily rounds. You will also participate in multidisciplinary rounding, respond to coding and documentation queries, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with attending physicians to prepare patient history, develop treatment plans, and participate in daily rounds.
- Utilize electronic medical records for order entry and documentation, ensuring accurate and timely updates.
- Participate in multidisciplinary rounding, respond to coding and documentation queries, and contribute to quality and safety initiatives.
- Order or perform diagnostic studies, such as EMG, electrocardiogram, compartment pressure measurements, and x-ray examinations, including special x-rays like CT, MRI, and bone scans.
- Perform procedures, including digital blocks, regional anesthesia, minor outpatient surgical procedures, joint and bursa aspirations, closed reduction of fractures and dislocations, injections of joints, tendons, trigger points, and bursa, as well as brace, cast, and splint applications.
- Assist in surgery, including first assist, deep and superficial tissue closures, application of appliances, and other delegated actions by the surgeon.
- Conduct hospital rounds, write orders, and assist the orthopedic surgeon as needed.
- Serve as primary orthopedic call for Bay Area Hospital's patients in the Emergency Department and various inpatient units.

Requirements
- Board Certified - required
- Must be available full time - required
- Meets criteria for Medical Staff or Allied Health Professional membership and privileges
- NPDB Self query - required at time of submission
- CAQH login and password - required at time of offer
- Proficiency with electronic health records for documentation, assessment, and care management, performing these activities concurrently with provision of care throughout the shift
- Ability to work independently and perform effectively in stressful and/or emergent situations

Schedule Information
- OT is after 40 hours
- Work Week is Sunday - Saturday
- Lodging will be provided/coordinated by Bay Area
- Credentialing timeframe - minimum 60 days

Additional Details
- Site requires 4 hours of unpaid EPIC training (Testing out is an option - 2 hours)
