Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing design and support of moderate to high complexity manufacturing systems and equipment, mentoring junior engineers, and supporting process improvements. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced engineer to make a meaningful contribution to our organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in and promote process improvements within assigned areas
• Support the manufacturing floor for any process-related questions and provide training and guidance to junior engineers
• Create, maintain, and develop new process documentation and update work order documentation
• Implement complex engineering changes and lead change management efforts
• Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance and support as needed
• Develop and implement process improvements and support the development of department and organization procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in arts or sciences (BA/BS) or international equivalent required
• Greater than 4 years of professional engineering experience or a combination of experience and advanced degree required
• Certificate or degree in Special Process preferred
• Professional certification (e.g. AWS, SME, CWE, CWI) preferred
• Occasional travel required
• Solid Six Sigma knowledge and advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts
• Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and solid understanding of Root Cause Analysis
• Solid understanding of electrical and/or mechanical machine drawings, including industry specifications
• Manufacturing Engineering - solid understanding of applicable manufacturing processes, including Computer Numeric Controls (CNC) programming, and ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability
• Industrial Engineering - solid understanding of applicable manufacturing processes and ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability
