MRI Imaging Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled MRI Imaging Specialist to join our team at Overlook Hospital. As an MRI Imaging Specialist, you will be responsible for operating MRI equipment to produce high-quality images of the body. Your duties will include positioning patients on the examining table, placing coils close to the area of interest, and entering data into the computer system.
Responsibilities:
- Position patients on the examining table and place coils close to the area of interest
- Enter data into the computer system, including patient history, anatomical area to be scanned, and orientation
- Operate MRI equipment to produce high-quality images of the body
- Monitor patient safety and comfort during the examination
- Alert staff entering the magnet room to the danger of wearing or carrying metal
Requirements:
- 1-3 years' experience as an MRI Imaging Specialist
- Graduate of an accredited radiology program
- Critical thinking skills and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
Certifications & Licensure:
- NJ State RT License
- MR Certified
- BLS Certification
Additional Requirements:
- Covid Vaccination Required: The primary vaccine series plus at least one booster or The Bivalent COVID vaccine that was first offered in September 2023 or The Monovalent COVID vaccine
