Nephrology Specialist

UnityPoint Health is seeking a highly skilled Nephrology Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our nephrology department, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and education to patients with kidney disease.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function as a clinician, educator, and resource for patients within their specialty of care
- Triage incoming patients and ensure compliance with established admission/acceptance criteria
- Develop, implement, and evaluate standards of practice and care for the patient population
- Provide teaching and answer questions for patients and family members
- Document patient information in the electronic health record using standardized workflows and processes
Requirements:
- Current RN licensure to practice as a registered nurse
- CPR certification
- Mandatory Reporter certification
- Ability to direct others and exercise judgment in problem situations
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team member
