We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Equipment Specialist to join our team at Sysco. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and functioning effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fuel delivery equipment daily to ensure optimal performance.
  • Regularly inspect fluid levels of power equipment to prevent potential issues.
  • Collaborate with the fleet shop as needed to address maintenance concerns.
  • Work closely with night warehouse management to prepare equipment for use.
  • Clean and maintain trailers according to FSQA schedules.
  • Ensure the parking lot remains clean and free of debris.
  • Support night truck spotters in organizing the truck yard efficiently.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent education.
  • A minimum of 1-3 months of related experience or training.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Able to write simple correspondence.
  • Effective communication skills to present information to customers, clients, and colleagues.
  • Basic math skills to perform calculations and measurements.
  • Apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions and deal with standardized situations.
  • Learn to drive and back-up tractor-trailers and straight trucks.

Physical Demands

  • Regularly stand, walk, use hands, reach, and talk or hear.
  • Frequently climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
