Job Description:

Apple's Applications Group is seeking a Senior Product Designer to work on consumer and pro software applications for the Mac and iOS. The ideal candidate is passionate about creating experiences that can delight billions of people worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Applications design team members and our engineering, marketing, and QA groups to design and develop software applications.

• Possess extraordinary visual and user interface skills and user-centered design principles.

• Have an affinity for consistency, color use, typography, and a keen eye for subtle details.

• Exercise a good eye for aesthetics and grasp and distill highly complex issues and translate them into clean, understandable solutions.

• Develop and present design ideas in a large team environment.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in product design and UI, with a focus on designing for multiple platforms (e.g., iOS, web, or similar environments).

• Experience in delivering critical, large-scale features or products from start to finish, including involvement in documentation and development processes.

• Ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams to drive successful project outcomes.

• Strong empathy and advocacy for user experience when working with peer teams, including Engineering, QA, Marketing, and Accessibility.

• Highly proficient and efficient with design tools to visualize ideas and deliver work quickly.

• Ability to communicate design concepts through prototypes, low/high-fidelity comps, and formal presentations.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in interaction design, human interaction, sociology, psychology, visual design, or related field.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to large groups and executives.

• Demonstrate creative problem-solving with the ability to take initiative when necessary.

• Passion for Apple, its products, and its customers.

• Experience in iterative design processes, with enthusiasm for engaging in and contributing to group critique.
