Banner Health is seeking a highly skilled Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse to join our team at Banner University Medical Center-Phoenix. As a Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.

About the Role

This position assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing practice. You will be accountable for the quality of nursing services delivered by yourself or others under your direction.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural, and discharge planning needs.
  • Review patient history and physical with patient/family and ensure completion within an appropriate timeframe.
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing treatments, and providing education to patients and families.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless transitions.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have a current RN license in the state of Arizona and at least 1-2 years of experience in Medical Surgical Oncology. You must also be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
