Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a Mammography Imaging Specialist, you will work under the supervision of a radiologist and supervisor, performing various studies and procedures. This role offers the opportunity to work with patients from imaging to biopsy, utilizing your expertise in mammography and general radiography.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare rooms and materials for procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient environment.
  • Clean and disinfect equipment and rooms after each patient use, maintaining a high standard of hygiene.
  • Administer general and specific X-rays, adjusting equipment and exposure times as needed, and arranging immobilization and support devices to obtain optimal positions and lead shielding.
  • Observe patients and equipment during exams, reporting any unusual occurrences and ensuring patient safety.
  • Develop film according to standard procedures, maintaining high-quality images.
  • Maintain stock supplies and assist administrators in determining required quantities.
  • Check images for quality, both analog and digital, and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • NYS license
  • ARRT registered
  • Preferred qualifications: 2+ years of experience in general radiology and mammography, knowledge of PACS systems
