Job Overview:

The City of Blackfoot invites applications for the position of Human Resources Director. As a member of the senior management team, this key role is responsible for leading the City's human resource management function, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and contributing to organizational success.

The ideal candidate will possess extensive knowledge in benefits administration, workers' compensation, technical writing, investigations, EEO/AA, compensation practices, job analysis, and classification. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are also essential.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate human resources operations, including talent acquisition, staffing, employment processing, compensation, health and welfare benefits, training and development, records management, safety and health, succession planning, employee relations, and retention.
  • Negotiate, implement, monitor, administer, and evaluate employee benefits programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, voluntary insurance, and retirement program options.
  • Plan, direct, and coordinate insurance management programs, including managing workers' compensation claims and safety issues and inspections.
