Position Summary:
Bizzell Group is seeking an on-site Energy Management Control Systems Manager (EMCS). This role involves overseeing a significant project encompassing millions of square feet and numerous buildings. The EMCS Manager is responsible for developing and implementing effective programs, practices, and procedures to ensure optimal operation of the EMCS in compliance with all specifications and requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and troubleshoot program issues related to the EMCS, ensuring effective operation of systems.
- Oversee technicians in daily troubleshooting of system disturbances and alarms.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve HVAC and mechanical issues using EMCS.
- Ensure timely analysis and application of EMCS security patches as required.
- Generate regular reports to manage system alarms and configurations in line with contract requirements.
- Fulfill all operational plans and procedures associated with EMCS.
- Review and approve project acceptance and close-out documentation.
- Ensure timely completion of preventive maintenance tasks.
- Document and implement all necessary upgrades and repairs to the EMCS.
- Facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders to discuss EMCS operations.
- Identify and report any deficiencies within the EMCS.
- Maintain effective communication with team members and clients.
- Respond to requests for EMCS reports and system configurations.
- Complete all assigned corrective actions and root cause analyses.
- Work with vendors to procure necessary materials and components.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies in the EMCS field.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support critical missions.
Qualifications:
- Ability to analyze and resolve complex EMCS issues.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with maintenance practices and operational procedures.
- Certification in DISTECH 6601 is required.
- Proficient in office software and work order applications.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules as needed.
- Proficient in English, both written and spoken.
- Valid driver's license is required.
Education and Experience:
- Hands-on experience in HVAC and controls, including troubleshooting and repairs.
- Minimum of 10 years in engineering or management roles within a BMS/BAS or EMCS environment, with at least 5 years of experience with relevant systems.
- Certifications in Niagara N4, TCP, and Distech 6000 are essential.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting and working on a computer may be required.
