We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at Children's Health. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety during surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures by ensuring that surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely.
- Set up the sterile field with instruments, supplies, and equipment, and help in draping the sterile field.
- Pass supplies, equipment, or instruments, and assist in counting sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments with the registered nurse circulator.
- Clean and prepare instruments for terminal sterilization on completion of the surgery, and assist the surgical team with cleaning of the operating room on completion of the surgery for the next scheduled procedure.
- Lead team participation and expectation in the cleaning and preparing instruments for terminal sterilization on completion of the surgery, and assist the surgical team with cleaning of the operating room on completion of the surgery for the next scheduled procedure.
- At least 2 years of work experience in a surgical setting.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training beyond high school required.
- Current Surgical Technologist Certification issued by an approved organization.
- Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification.
