Palm Beach County is seeking a highly skilled Chief Operations Officer to lead its Transportation Operations department. This senior-level executive position involves high-level managerial responsibilities, including directing, coordinating, and overseeing the activities of multiple specialized sections.
Responsibilities:
- Directing and coordinating the activities of Fixed Route Operations, Paratransit, Maintenance & Facilities, and Safety Training and Security
- Leading a multi-faceted team focused on improving awareness of existing transportation options and identifying partnering opportunities with community groups and organizations
- Representing Palm Beach County at public hearings and meetings, advisory boards and committees, other governmental agencies, and with the public
Requirements:
A Bachelor's Degree in Business/Public Administration or related field with a minimum of six (6) years of responsible transit operational management experience, which includes three (3) years of responsible management or supervisory experience.
