Position: Aviation Emergency Medical Technician

We are seeking a dedicated Aviation Emergency Medical Technician to collaborate with our skilled air transport professionals in ensuring the safe transfer of patients to and from healthcare facilities, as well as responding to emergency calls. Our commitment to safety and effective patient care is paramount; hence, you will be part of a proficient team that upholds the highest safety standards for both our crew and clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate each emergency situation to determine the most effective approach for supporting, monitoring, and treating patients in critical conditions.
  • Employ critical thinking abilities to manage severely ill or injured patients, adhering to physicians' directives.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and well-equipped aircraft environment, performing regular equipment checks and complying with safety protocols.
  • Engage in effective communication and collaboration with air and ground teams, dispatch, flight crews, medical facilities, and partners.
  • Ensure smooth transitions by sharing pertinent information during shift changes and maintaining accurate documentation as per company and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay current with necessary certifications and participate in ongoing training as mandated for the role.

  • Demonstrate reliability, professionalism, and a commitment to our elevated standards in safety and service.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • A minimum of three years of recent experience in an Advanced Life Support (ALS) or critical care environment.
  • Possession of a valid EMT-P license/certification in the states served by the assigned area.
  • NREMT-P certification may be necessary in the designated area.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications are required prior to flight status.
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Provider training will be provided during orientation.
  • Must obtain trauma certification within the first year of employment.
  • Advanced Certification (FP-C) is required within two years of hire.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in air medical transport.
  • Advanced Certification (FP-C).
  • Instructor certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and ITLS/PHTLS.
