Job Title: Radiology Support Specialist

Mayo Clinic is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Radiology Data Management team, you will play a critical role in supporting the goals and objectives of the Department of Radiology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, including physicians, allied health staff, and medical center personnel.
  • Perform work activities related to Radiology Data Management and Archive area, including film management, electronic image media creation, film digitization, electronic image transfer, quality assurance, and corrections.
  • Take positive action in problem-solving and work with various computer systems.
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to customer service, teamwork, and adaptability.

Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • College coursework preferred.
  • Anatomy and medical terminology class and telephone etiquette are required (may be acquired during the first six months of employment).
  • Knowledgeable in various computer systems and applications.
  • Good clerical aptitude and computer skills with accurate keyboarding.
  • Knowledge of anatomy.
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office products required.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Work Environment:

The Radiology Data Management team is located in four locations across the Rochester Campus, Gonda 2, Mayo 2, Saint Mary's, and North Warehouse. The team works a rotational weekend shift, providing coverage from 6AM-2PM and 2PM-10PM, averaging one weekend per month.
