Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to support and advance our hybrid network architecture with both on-premise and cloud-based resources.

This role requires a strong understanding of WAN and LAN infrastructure, as well as experience with cloud infrastructure and security solutions.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mind and excellent communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and operation of WAN infrastructure, including point-to-point and multi-point connectivity
  • Support the implementation and operation of LAN infrastructure at datacenters, branch offices, and critical operations centers
  • Participate in the development and implementation of AWS Cloud infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and modify the operation of the network-based portion of the security infrastructure, including firewalls and VPNs
  • Implement security process improvements in conjunction with Network Security personnel
Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Willing to obtain CompTIA Security + or equivalent certification
  • Willing and able to obtain Security Clearance
  • Willing and able to pass CI Polygraph
  • Requires 3+ years' experience administering LANs and WANs in a complex operational environment with high uptime requirements
  • Knowledge of data / IP networking and protocols, including VXLAN/EVPN, BGP, OSPF, GRE, TCP, FTP, and DNS
  • 2+ years of experience with routers, switches, firewalls, and network security solutions
  • Experience creating and maintaining documentation of solutions and monitoring in a large-scale enterprise environment
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills, including creation of SOPs, maintenance plans, network drawings, and other technical documents
  • Strong analytical abilities and a client-focused mindset
  • Participation in on-call rotation and minimum onsite requirement of 3 days/week
Preferred Qualifications
  • Has a CompTIA Security + or equivalent certification
  • Has an Active Security Clearance with Polygraph
  • Experience with Juniper routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls
  • Experience with Zabbix or similar monitoring solutions
  • Experience with Amazon networking, including VPCs, TGWs, and DXGWs
  • Experience with network automation and centralized management tools
  • Experience with wireless technologies and load balancers
