About the Role:


Imagine One is seeking a seasoned Senior Project Manager with a strong background in Agile and Scrum methodologies to lead our Engineering team through the transition to a sprint-based structure.

This role is pivotal in driving project planning, managing sprints, and ensuring effective communication between the engineering team and customers.

The ideal candidate will have a solid technical foundation, enabling them to effectively collaborate with DevOps Engineers, understand the nuances of technical projects, and provide clear status updates to customers.

Experience with GitHub Enterprise, including its project tools, and familiarity with ServiceNow Agile tools are highly desirable.


Key Qualifications:


Agile/Scrum Expertise:

Proven experience as a Project Manager in an Agile/Scrum environment, with a track record of successfully managing software development projects.

Scrum Master Certification (CSM) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is highly desirable.

Deep understanding of Agile principles and methodologies, with experience in implementing and managing sprint cycles.


Technical Background:

Solid technical foundation, with the ability to engage in discussions with DevOps Engineers and understand the technical aspects of projects.

Experience in a DevOps or software engineering environment is a plus.


Project Management Skills:

Strong project planning, scheduling, and resource management skills, with experience in using project management tools like Jira, Trello, or Microsoft Project.


GitHub Enterprise:

Experience using GitHub Enterprise, particularly its project management tools, to track progress and manage tasks within Agile frameworks.

Ability to break down complex projects into manageable tasks and oversee the execution of these tasks within sprint cycles.


ServiceNow Agile Tools:

Experience with ServiceNow Agile tools is a plus, enabling streamlined management of Agile projects within the ServiceNow environment.


Communication & Collaboration:

Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey project status, risks, and issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Experience working directly with customers to gather requirements, provide status updates, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.


Process Improvement:

Experience in identifying opportunities for process improvement within project management and sprint execution.

Ability to implement best practices in Agile/Scrum and project management to optimize team performance and project outcomes.


Key Responsibilities:


Sprint Management:

Lead the Engineering team in adopting a sprint-based approach, including planning, executing, and reviewing sprints.

Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning sessions, and retrospectives to ensure smooth sprint cycles and continuous improvement.


Project Planning & Execution:

Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and organizational goals.

Collaborate with DevOps Engineers to understand project scope, technical challenges, and resource needs.


Customer Communication:

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, providing regular status updates, managing expectations, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Work closely with customers to gather requirements, define project objectives, and adjust plans as necessary to meet changing needs.


Risk & Issue Management:

Proactively identify and manage risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring that potential obstacles are addressed before they impact project delivery.

Implement mitigation strategies to manage risks effectively and keep projects on track.


Team Collaboration & Leadership:

Foster a collaborative and positive team environment, encouraging open communication and transparency.

Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them navigate challenges and achieve their goals within the sprint structure.


Educational & Certification Requirements:


Certifications:

Scrum Master Certification (CSM), Project Management Professional (PMP), or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) is highly desirable.


Experience:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Technical background or experience working closely with DevOps or software engineering teams is essential.


Security Requirements:

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Active Secret clearance is required.
