We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Glade Run Lutheran Services. As a Custodian, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our staff, students, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain a Clean and Organized Environment
- Ensure all areas of the facility are clean and free of debris
- Restock supplies and materials as needed
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, vacuuming, and mopping
- Trash Removal and Recycling
- Remove trash and recyclables from the facility
- Ensure trash cans are emptied and cleaned regularly
- Facility Maintenance
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including changing light bulbs and replacing air filters
- Report any maintenance issues or concerns to the facilities manager
- Security and Safety
- Ensure all doors and windows are locked and secure
- Report any security concerns or incidents to the facilities manager
- Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in custodial or maintenance work preferred
- Skills and Abilities
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
This is a full-time position, working Monday through Friday. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
