Position Title: Purchasing Sourcing Specialist
Location: St. Charles, IL
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $100k-105k
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the management of Bill of Materials (BOM), Item Register/Quote Approval Format (IR/QAF), Cost of Sales (COS), No Product Sign-off (NPSO), invoicing discrepancies, and Supplier Portal activities.
- Document all operational processes within their respective systems to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Collaborate with the New Product Launch team to prioritize and fulfill new program requirements, ensuring timely and accurate closure of BOMs to facilitate program launches.
- Continuously update the Opportunity Matrix to identify sourcing opportunities for new initiatives, aiding Sourcing Manager negotiations.
- Manage component end-of-life (EOL) scenarios by coordinating with relevant teams to evaluate program impacts, forecast future needs, and manage Last-Time Buys to prevent supply interruptions.
- Work closely with the Cost Planning team to identify components impacting programs with less than 10% Operating Profit, collaborating with the AP team to negotiate costs or source alternative components.
- Assist the Advanced Purchasing Strategic Group Manager and department with daily operations, implement new procedures, and ensure adherence to documentation standards.
- Generate and compile business statistical reports to support informed decision-making processes.
- Create and manage correspondence and reports, ensuring compliance with departmental records retention policies.
- Bachelor's Degree in a technical field (Electrical Engineering preferred).
- Experience in sourcing high-volume electronic components, preferably within Electronics Manufacturing or Automotive Electronics.
- Demonstrated experience in Advanced Purchasing or related areas.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Capability to work effectively within a cross-functional team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
