The Seasonal Audio-Visual Support Specialist at Answers in Genesis plays a crucial role in delivering audio and visual technology services for the Creation Museum and Ark Encounter.

This position is tasked with providing support for live events, including audio, video, and lighting, as well as technical assistance for exhibits and the operation and upkeep of all AV equipment across the facilities.

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact through a service-oriented approach focused on making a lasting difference.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in daily museum operations.

Specific Duties Include:
• Managing exhibit AV, event audio, video, and lighting, and providing AV support for conference rooms.
• Programming and operating live audio and lighting, along with basic AV troubleshooting.
• Collaborating closely with the AV Manager.
• Performing other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
• Regular attendance at a local Bible-believing church is required.
• Flexible availability is essential; technicians must be prepared to work before and after standard hours for AV support.
• Weekend availability is necessary.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and climb ladders is required.
• Must be a self-motivated individual who sees tasks through to completion.
• A servant's heart is essential.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in live sound and lighting support is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in facility AV support is preferred.
• Experience in touring/concert audio and lighting is a plus.
• Familiarity with ETC EOS Lighting Control is advantageous.
• Experience with ProPresenter is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Yamaha audio consoles and Shure wireless systems is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
• Networking experience is a plus.
• Any formal AV-related training or degree is an asset.
