Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at Waste Connections. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for repairing and maintaining our fleet of sanitation vehicles.

Responsibilities:
  • Repair and maintain diesel engines, chassis, and body components, hydraulic cylinders, brake systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, wheels, and tires.
  • Inspect equipment and vehicles for condition, operations, parts, and fluid levels.
  • Utilize vehicle computer electronics systems to diagnose and repair issues.
  • Conduct safety checks on vehicles and equipment.
  • Complete required paperwork using fleet maintenance software.
  • Review and complete repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in diesel mechanics or a related field.
  • Valid Class A or B CDL with air brakes endorsement preferred.
  • Ability to provide own personal tools.
  • Welding/fabrication experience is a plus.
