Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and process beverage orders from patrons or serving staff.
- Verify guest identification to ensure compliance with age restrictions for alcohol sales.
- Engage with guests using positive and clear communication, ensuring they feel valued.
- Maintain an accurate count of beverages served.
- Proactively assist guests, anticipating their needs.
- Collaborate effectively with team members to foster a productive environment and seamless service.
- Handle payment transactions for drinks served.
- Prepare cocktails and other beverages by mixing various ingredients, including spirits and mixers.
- Serve wine and both bottled and draft beer.
- Mitigate risks associated with overconsumption by encouraging responsible drinking and arranging transportation for intoxicated guests.
- Prepare in-house bar ingredients, such as syrups and garnishes.
- Ensure cleanliness of glassware, utensils, and bar equipment, restocking as necessary.
- Manage recycling and waste disposal effectively.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas and bar equipment.
- Perform end-of-shift cash drawer reconciliation.
- Execute additional tasks as assigned.
- Ability to walk and stand for the duration of the shift.
- Capacity to remain stationary for extended periods.
- Frequent reaching, bending, lifting, and carrying.
- Occasional lifting of items weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Regular hand washing is required.
- Awareness of potential hazards, including slips and trips.
- Must meet legal age requirements for serving alcohol.
- Completion of Alcohol Server Training courses.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions.
- Ability to read and comprehend basic instructions.
- Proficiency in basic computer operations.
- Familiarity with food and beverage specifications.
- Knowledge of various alcoholic beverages and standard drink recipes.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Able to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
This position is hourly and requires flexibility in scheduling. Work hours may vary based on business needs, with operations running seven days a week.
Work Environment:
This role is situated in a professional dining setting, primarily within the bar and lounge area. The position demands a high level of service delivered with poise and efficiency. Regular interaction with the kitchen is necessary, and the work environment may present challenges such as wet or slippery surfaces. Excellent communication skills are essential for interacting with both guests and staff.
