Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Sutter Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, coordinate, and deliver nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department, ensuring timely and effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans that address the physical, emotional, and social needs of patients, incorporating evidence-based practices and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions of care, patient education, and family support.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and best practices that enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, adhering to regulatory requirements and hospital policies.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a current RN license in California.
  • 2 years of recent relevant experience in emergency nursing or a related field.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications within 90 days of hire.
  • Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records systems.
