Job Summary

Norton Sound Health Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy, developing and implementing nutrition care plans, and providing health education to individuals and groups.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical nutrition therapy and develop nutrition care plans for individuals and groups in outpatient, inpatient, and long-term care settings.
  • Work with communities to set and achieve community-based diabetes program outcomes and document achievements.
  • Create, plan, and execute health education activities for diabetes and chronic disease prevention projects.
  • Collaborate with health educators, dietitians, prevention coordinators, and other healthcare professionals to achieve program goals.
  • Lead, collaborate with, and assist with monitoring and reporting to satisfy grant requirements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nutrition or Dietetics.
  • CDR Credential and State of Alaska licensure within 6 months of hire.
  • BLS within 1 year of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience working with communities and developing health education programs.
