Job Summary:

ComPsych Corporation is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Telehealth Counselor to join our team. As a Telehealth Counselor, you will provide brief, solution-focused counseling services to clients via phone or video. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining a caseload of approximately 10 phone or video appointments per day
  • Utilizing evidence-based interventions to resolve clients' presenting issues
  • Ensuring safety for clients who present at risk to harm themselves or others
  • Referring clients to long-term treatment and/or community resources when clinically appropriate
  • Maintaining up-to-date documentation for all client contacts in the ComPsych system
  • Strengthening your professional knowledge base through ongoing review of trends related to telehealth counseling and evidence-based interventions

Requirements:

  • Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology
  • Independent clinical license required
  • Experience providing direct clinical services and solution-focused therapy
  • Knowledge of treatment issues and EAP services
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a strong focus on customer service and sound clinical judgment
  • Quick thinking, high energy, positive, and professional, with demonstrated multi-tasking and critical thinking skills
  • High-speed internet, quiet home office setup, and ability to take appointments telephonically or over video
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus; MUST BE LICENSED in Virginia
