We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tennis Professional to join our team at Crystal Lake Park District. As a Tennis Professional, you will be responsible for teaching private and group tennis lessons, coaching travel teams, and assisting with administrative tasks.
Responsibilities- Teach quality private, small group, and large group tennis lessons to players of all ages and abilities.
- Coach travel teams and junior development lessons.
- Assist with administrative tasks, such as maintaining lesson schedules, tracking player progress, and communicating with members.
- Participate in required staff meetings, training sessions, and safety trainings.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Tennis Director or Club Manager.
- High school graduate with at least three years of varsity high school and/or two years of junior college, college, and/or USTA tournament tennis experience.
- Minimum of two years teaching or four seasons academic team coaching experience in tennis.
- USPTA and/or Tennis Registry membership preferred.
- Current CPR/AED Certification.
The Tennis Professional will work in a fast-paced environment, teaching up to 25 hours per week during the season. The position requires standing, feeding tennis balls, running, jogging, stretching, and speaking in a loud voice. The Tennis Professional will also be required to work in hot and humid weather conditions.
