Job Summary:
Southeastern Grocers is seeking a highly detail-oriented Audit and Promotional Allowance Coordinator to join their team. This role involves identifying missing and unbilled promotional allowances, working with internal business partners to process these claims, and liaising between SEG and external post-audit firms. The ideal candidate will have strong PC skills, particularly in Excel, and be able to work with little supervision while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

About the Role:
As an Audit and Promotional Allowance Coordinator, you will be responsible for reviewing daily transactions, researching requests, and performing various functions such as reviewing missed billing query results, uploading promotional billing claims into Accounts Receivable, communicating with internal and external customers, and working with cross-functional departments on billing discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Processes daily transactions, researches requests, and performs functions such as review missed billing query results, upload promotional billing claims into AR, communicate with internal and external customers, and work with cross-functional departments on billing discrepancies.
  2. Maintains accounting controls and standard office procedures. Applies accounting principles by performing post-audit journal entries, verifies third-party post-audit invoices, and sends them to AP for payment processing and performs weekly and month-end account reconciliations.
  3. Main contact and support for third-party post-audit companies to ensure their claims are processed in accordance with SEG's established post-audit guidelines. Leads a meeting every period with each external post-audit firm to review financial results.


Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need a Bachelor's Degree or 4 years of relevant experience in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline. A preferred education course is a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline. Relevant experience, including supervisory experience, is also beneficial. Language proficiency in English and Spanish is preferred but not required.

Work Environment:
The successful candidate will work in a traditional office environment, majority of the time spent indoors. They will be required to sit, use hands or fingers to handle objects, talk, see, hear, and perform repetitive movements with both hands. They may occasionally need to stand or walk on carpet, tile, or concrete. Safety risk factors include twisting back and/or neck and walking on slippery or cluttered floor surfaces. The job requires minimal travel and no overnight stays.

Estimated Salary:
$65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
