About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Custodian to join our team at Pennington County, SD. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of our buildings and grounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming of floors, as well as cleaning of restrooms and replenishing paper and soap supplies.
  • Empty trash and recyclables, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Operate specialized cleaning equipment, including buffers, auto scrubbers, and extractors.
  • Assist with snow removal and other outdoor tasks as needed.
  • Report any maintenance or repair issues to the team leader or custodial manager.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • One year of experience in cleaning methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Ability to lift and move moderate to heavy weights, and to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
