Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Warehouse Operations Specialist to join our team at International Paper. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and accurate receipt and storage of materials, as well as the timely shipment of products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete pre-start forklift maintenance inspection reports and daily production sheets accurately recording tons received for sort line and shredder
  • Record and input into MRS (Material Receiving System) weights, bin count, and bin sizes for each customer
  • Complete daily customer receiving logs and forward to Operations Specialist for daily entry matching/reconciling
  • Inspect and tag equipment for damage, maintenance needs, and proper company logo and identification/specification labels
  • Validate data accuracy before end of shift by matching driver customer receipts with MRS entry receipts
  • Ensure accurate customer name and address information on all equipment received and report issues to dispatch for correction
  • Assist with training of sorting personnel on grade training and complete daily, weekly, and monthly PMs for Shredder, floor scale, and debris cleaning
  • Communicate with dispatch, floor lead, and Supply Representative on maintenance issues, downtime, production issues, and supplier contamination
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment according to plant housekeeping standards and attend plant safety meetings
  • Manage controllable costs through proper equipment, tool, and consumable usage and report any safety or maintenance concerns
Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts and overtime as needed
  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently and lift up to 50 lbs. (if needed)
  • Alertness, visual ability, and concern for quality, strong attention to detail and accuracy in tasks, excellent communication skills, verbal and written, and excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics setting is a plus and ability to complete training requirements, including Paper Grade Recognition Training, Shredder safe operating procedures, PM process for Shredder, Floor scale cleaning process, Lock-out, Tag out procedures, and PIT certification
