Critical Care Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Hospital. As a Clinical Staff Nurse in our Intensive Care Unit, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualized patient-centered care to a defined group of patients.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process as a problem-solving model to anticipate and plan to meet patient and family needs.
- Conduct hourly rounding on patients and develop a therapeutic nurse/patient relationship throughout the healthcare continuum.
- Communicate effectively using the SBAR method in all hand-off situations and perform documentation of patient care, including assessment, interdisciplinary plan of care, implementation, evaluation, and the Watson Model of Care.
- Anticipate variables affecting patient comfort and alter physical and psychosocial interventions accordingly, using a variety of modalities.
- Work collaboratively with Care Managers to coordinate interdisciplinary discharge planning and ensure a smooth transition of care.
- Associates Degree in Nursing or equivalent required; BSN preferred.
- Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience in Critical Care nursing, with a focus on regulatory guidelines and standard of practice.
- Current California Nursing license and certification in Critical Care Nursing preferred.
- Bilingual skills in Spanish preferred, along with basic computer skills and current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
