Job Summary

Under the supervision from the Staff Services Manager I (SSM I), the Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) is responsible for performing the more complex, technical analytical duties in support of the Department of Conservation (DOC), Program Administration Unit in areas such as contracting, budgeting, evaluation, and planning.

Responsibilities
  • Perform complex, technical analytical duties in support of the Department of Conservation, Program Administration Unit.
  • Work closely with program management to utilize a variety of analytical techniques to resolve complex governmental problems.
  • Interact with key personnel on various issues and provide consultative services to management as a subject matter expert.
  • Prepare reports as needed.

If new to California state service, you will need to have taken and passed the examination for this classification in order to be hired for this position. If you are a current state employee, but do not have transfer eligibility or list eligibility, you will need to have taken and passed the examination for this classification in order to be hired for this position.

Possession of Minimum Qualifications will be verified prior to interview and/or appointment. Working Conditions

This position is located in Sacramento and may be eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must reside in California and be able to satisfactorily perform their essential work functions independently and remotely.

Candidates who reside outside of the State of California may be admitted to the job interview but must show proof of residence in California prior to being eligible for appointment.
