Network Engineer - (Remote - US based)

Curtiss-Wright is on the lookout for a skilled Network Engineer. In this position, you will engage in prototyping, testing, and enhancing the networking components of product design. You will also integrate network architectures with IQ-Core Software, conduct hardware and software testing, develop Bills of Materials (BOMs), oversee the networking build environment, script for system configurations, install solutions, and occasionally travel to provide tier support while interacting with customers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to prototype, test, and enhance the networking-centric elements of our product design.
  • Partner with Curtiss-Wright's Software and Systems Engineering teams to integrate network designs with IQ-Core Software, leveraging existing capabilities and defining new features.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and networking for Curtiss-Wright products.
  • Create BOMs for Curtiss-Wright products.
  • Manage the setup, operation, and maintenance of our networking build environment.
  • Design and implement procedures/scripts for system configuration and testing.
  • Perform physical installation and configuration of solutions developed by Curtiss-Wright.
  • 25% CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.
  • Provide occasional Tier 1 and Tier 2 support.
  • Engage with customers to demonstrate or deploy Curtiss-Wright technology as needed.
  • Physical presence is required for performance.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in system administration and network engineering is required.
  • An Associate's degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Proficiency with networking devices (Switches, Routers, and Firewalls) is required.
  • Experience with Cisco IOS and ASA devices is required.
  • CCNA certification or the ability to obtain it is required.
  • Familiarity with Cisco Voice Gateways and Cisco Call Manager is preferred.
  • Experience with VMware Vsphere (ESXi) is preferred.
  • Knowledge of multiple VPN implementations, both site-to-site and remote access, is preferred.
  • Understanding of PKI and certificate-based authentication is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows and Windows Server is preferred.
  • Proficiency in PC hardware and troubleshooting is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to present complex technology to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Independent professional capable of performing job assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are crucial.
  • Must be able to self-organize workloads and manage deadlines effectively.
