You will also play a crucial role in assisting the broader leadership team in formulating and executing LA 411's long-term strategic vision.Key Responsibilities:
Complete accountability for the development of League of Legends on PC and the leadership of the development team responsible for its creation. Overall responsibility for all product outcomes related to League of Legends, including player engagement, sentiment, revenue generation, and operational expenditures.
Product and Strategy:
Directing the overarching strategy for League of Legends, ensuring robust product, creative, and organizational strategies are effectively implemented. Maintaining a strong live service experience for players while also planning the future iterations of League over a multi-year timeline. Ensuring that the development team's vision and philosophy evolve to meet both current and future player needs.
Team Leadership:
Guide the senior leadership team for League of Legends, including coaching, mentoring, recruitment, and performance management to cultivate a world-class game leadership team. Empower other leaders in their areas of expertise while holding them accountable for quality outcomes that benefit both the League ecosystem and LA 411 as a whole. Foster a high-performance culture regarding individual performance, performance management processes, and team effectiveness.
Ensure that the League of Legends team maintains a healthy, proactive, and inclusive culture that drives exceptional results for players and team members alike.
Collaboration with LA 411:
Establish and nurture strong partnerships with various departments within LA 411, from other products within the same intellectual property to collaborations with esports partners and internal service teams.
Be a key member of both the League Studio Leadership and the broader LA 411 leadership, advocating for the needs of League of Legends while maintaining a holistic company perspective. Contribute significantly to LA 411's planning rituals.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
A proven track record of managing a large, complex organization. Demonstrated ability to support and develop other senior leaders (Director level and above).
Experience in a leadership capacity on a live service game or in the development and launch of a new game. A minimum of 15 years of industry experience, with at least 10 years in leadership roles.
Desired Qualifications:
Professional experience on a long-standing player-versus-player title. Experience in leadership roles on both live service game teams and in the development and launch of new games. Significant experience in the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) genre, both as a developer and player. Experience guiding a large organization through multiple high-priority work streams simultaneously.
Success in this role will be achieved through a combination of craft expertise and a collaborative spirit that prioritizes player satisfaction. We value your past experiences and education, but we also seek individuals with a genuine passion for gaming.
