About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Neighborhood Health Center - WNY. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering impactful healthcare while striving for health equity.

Responsibilities
  • Perform nursing tasks and responsibilities within the framework of case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a registered professional nurse or licensed physician.
  • Administer medications and provide treatments prescribed by providers.
  • Perform immunizations and injections.
  • Assist in facilitating patient flow for the provider to ensure a seamless and efficient patient flow.
  • Maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc.
  • Perform all CLIA waiver tests and ensure all tests are up to date.
  • Demonstrate proper placement and documentation of PPD.
  • Comply with patient information in the absence of an RN and consult with medical provider.
Requirements
  • Graduated from an accredited one or two-year nursing school.
  • Must possess a current NYS License as a Practical Nurse.
  • Must have current CPR certification.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Superb organizational skills.
  • Strong influencing skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work proactively and take initiative.
  • Results-oriented; creative and persistent in accomplishing tasks.
  • Solutions-driven with a systems orientation.
  • Highly responsive, timely, accurate, and thorough in follow-up and follow-through.
Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25.50 (based on a full-time, 40-hour work week). Individual compensation is based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other position-related components. Additionally, this position offers a sign-on bonus for external hires, paid in installments throughout the employee's successful first year of employment.
