Key ResponsibilitiesWe seek dedicated professionals who will embody the principles of the Select Medical Way, which emphasizes patient-first approaches, enhancing community quality of life, and fostering continuous development and innovation in care delivery.
As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will:
- Take proactive measures to understand and address the physical, mental, psychological, and social needs of patients.
- Conduct thorough evaluations of communication abilities and swallowing functions, delivering targeted treatment to maximize patient outcomes.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of service within the Rehabilitation Therapy Department.
- Engage in peer evaluations to assess staff performance and contribute to professional development.
- Assist in shaping the SLP role within programs and services, including updates to departmental policies and procedures.
- Help maintain adequate supplies and resources for effective service delivery.
- Share your expertise and insights with the team, while identifying educational needs to enhance service quality.
The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of patient needs, ensuring that every individual feels informed, understood, and valued. A commitment to delivering high-quality care and a knack for innovative problem-solving in a dynamic environment are essential.
Minimum qualifications include:
- Graduation from an accredited program meeting the American Speech/Language/Hearing Association's academic and practicum standards for the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
- A valid state-issued license to practice.
- A minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the start date.
