Account Specialist Job Description

At Synerfac, we are seeking a highly skilled Account Specialist to join our team. As an Account Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing account performance and growth, focusing on business retention and development. You will build strong client relationships to ensure high customer satisfaction and collaborate with sales, commercial teams, agencies, and domestic/overseas offices to secure new business and maintain service quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a structured call cycle with assigned accounts as per management standards.
  • Oversee service contracts, processing renewals per sales management timelines.
  • Keep customer records up to date per Sales Standards (e.g., account profiles, contact details).
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Assist in problem-solving for customers and support Account Executives.
  • Support sales objectives by analyzing leads, competitor data, and reports to target key/new accounts.
  • Stay informed on tariff and rate changes, coordinating with Pricing and other offices.
  • Utilize company systems and tools (e.g., Stars Tariff, Sales & Marketing Reports, Trade Database) in daily tasks.

Requirements:
* 2+ years of customer service, sales, or sales support experience in the Ocean Transportation industry

  • Intermediate computer skills in programs such as MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Ability to travel domestically if necessary
  • Excellent communication skills
