Residential Cleaner

Cedarhurst Senior Living, a dedicated provider of care for older adults, is in search of a committed and service-oriented individual to join our team as a Housekeeper within our community.

As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents through daily interactions and support. In this position, you will collaborate closely with the Environmental Services Director to ensure that all community areas are kept clean and welcoming.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, laundry, and waste disposal.
• Adhering to a structured cleaning schedule (daily, weekly, monthly) for designated areas including resident apartments, communal spaces, restrooms, and administrative offices.
• Managing the collection and laundering of soiled linens in accordance with established health and hygiene protocols.
• Sorting, folding, and distributing clean laundry effectively.
• Communicating supply and equipment needs to your Supervisor and ensuring that supplies are restocked as necessary.
• Coordinating with maintenance to report any repairs needed during your shift.
• Facilitating effective communication between community staff and residents' families regarding the care and wellbeing of residents.
• Collaborating with team members and following management directives while also demonstrating initiative in conflict resolution when necessary.
• Meeting the physical demands of the role, which may include standing, moving, and lifting items up to 50 pounds independently, and up to 200 pounds with assistance.
• Completing additional tasks as assigned to support the needs of residents and the community.

To qualify for the Housekeeper position, you will need:

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in housekeeping is preferred.
• CPR or BLS certification is a plus.
• Proficiency in Internet browsers (e.g., Explorer, Chrome, Firefox), Microsoft Office applications (including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Publisher), electronic health records (EHR) systems, and any applicable HR systems.
