Refugee Resettlement Specialist

As a key member of the Lutheran Services Carolinas team, the Refugee Resettlement Specialist will play a vital role in supporting newly arriving refugees in their transition to a new community. This dynamic position requires a strong sense of teamwork, cultural competence, and a passion for providing exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in locating suitable housing for refugee families and negotiate agreements with landlords.
- Conduct outreach to service providers and facilitate referrals for clients.
- Provide hands-on case management, including home visits and documentation of client progress.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, or Bachelor's degree in social work, sociology, or a related field.
- Previous experience in refugee resettlement or direct social services preferred.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
