Position Summary
Provide comprehensive healthcare services to students within a school setting. Promote student well-being through health education and preventative care initiatives.
Responsibilities & Duties- Deliver a full range of nursing services tailored to the needs of students.
- Conduct thorough health assessments to identify potential health concerns.
- Educate students on maintaining good health practices and disease prevention.
- Collaborate with school staff and parents to ensure student health and safety.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Education/Certification:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Texas, issued by the State Board of Nurse Examiners.
- Certification from the Texas Department of Health to perform vision and hearing screenings.
- Current CPR certification.
Experience:
- Minimum two years of nursing experience, preferably in a community health setting.
- Proficiency in conducting health assessments and identifying potential health issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for interacting with students, parents, and staff.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities to effectively manage patient care.
- Ability to implement policies and procedures related to student health services.
